We thought at the arrival in durango a late lunch. nice bar and great waiting staff. the food was good. bought bread and baked were as splurge and were not impressed.
The food was excellent and the service was very good. we already had a bad service and were pleasantly surprised.
This place is worth the drive if you are anywhere in southern Colorado. Jean-Pierre makes the best croissants every and make sure to bring a baguette home. The cafe is right downtown in lovely Durango. You can walk around to work off some of the calories after lunch or breakfast. Their pastries are to die for. We love to go for breakfast. Omelettes are authentic french beauties and other egg dishes and quiche are terrific. Their espresso is not the best, but I may be kind of picky on that. The atmosphere is wonderful old fashioned wood and shelves full of baked goods to catch your imagination. Service may be slow, but you shouldn't be in a hurry when you come here anyway.
Nice live piano some nights. Food is very good. Depending on number of dinners, the service can be laid back but our last visit we got excellent service since is was not crowded. Prices are a little bit high but you often get what you pay for elsewhere. Would highly recommend pastries, croissants and galletes there. Understand breakfasts are very good but not cheap
