Durham Cathedral's Undercroft

The restaurant offers a great variety of food and drinks, and the lemon cake was excellent. However, it did take some time for us to be served. There was a lot of laughter coming from the kitchen, but all the staff were very polite.

I had an excellent lunch during my last visit to the cathedral. The food was outstanding, the coffee was delightful, and the service was five-star. It feels even more rewarding to dine here knowing that any profits the restaurant makes go towards maintaining this beautiful cathedral in such wonderful condition.

We visited this café for a coffee break while exploring the beautiful historic city of Durham. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavors of the scones and the generous portions—they're large enough to share between two adults for just £1.80! The service we received was excellent, and the coffee was both good and affordable. The seating area has a lovely ambiance. I would definitely recommend The Undercroft for a coffee break. Thank you!
