I left my jacket and jumper at Rift and thought they were lost forever. I was only up there for a night, so called back after a few days and the manager Paul found my stuff and posted it back to me. He wouldn't take any payment from me, so the least I can do is let everybody know what an honest guy he is and share my gratitude.It goes without saying that we had a great night in there, given that I had forgotten that I had left my jacket in there in the first place!!Thanks Paul.

This place was disappointing, but not overwhelmingly so. The food is excellent and flavorful, and the portion sizes are generous. It's definitely worth a return visit if you've been here before and were let down.

Similar to Rift, it was the first pub where I felt at home when I arrived in the UK.
