The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy meal. The margaritas were made the authentic way, without orange liqueur—strong, slightly sour, and crafted with real 100% agave tequila (not José Cuervo). Plus, the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend it!
Don’t be put off by the fact that you place your order at a convenience store; these are truly some of the best street tacos around! My favorites were the barbacoa and chorizo, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the options. I highly recommend giving them a try if you haven't already!
This restaurant was so much better before they relocated to the gas station area. I used to really enjoy visiting for their food, and the staff were always fantastic. Now, they frequently get my order wrong, the staff is different, and the wait times are longer. While their food is still tasty, I’ve gotten tired of returning to work only to discover missing ingredients. I doubt I’ll be going back anytime soon. It's disappointing, as this used to be one of my favorites. At least there are plenty of other great places to eat in the area!
The next warning sign was the ordering process, which was a struggle. We made no modifications to our order, yet the person taking it seemed unable to understand what we wanted or how many of each taco we were requesting. After finally managing to place our order, we waited a frustrating 25 minutes, only to see them walk over to a steamer tray to start preparing our meal. When we finally received our food, it was not only incorrect, but also mostly inedible. Each taco was soaked in a broth that seemed like it had been simmering for days, resulting in dry, flavorless meat. The tortillas turned into a soggy mess, falling apart as we tried to pick them up. In the end, we spent about $40 on a few terrible tacos that were largely uneaten and discarded. We left feeling hungry and stopped elsewhere for food because none of us wanted to eat more than one of those disgusting tacos. If you’re looking to eat overpriced, subpar food in a gas station, you might give this place a try, but we definitely will not be returning.
Visit Mean Miner's Tacos; it's truly worth it! This place is a hidden gem. Whatever you decide to order, I’m confident you’ll thoroughly enjoy the food—I'm particularly fond of their Chorizo Street Tacos. The staff is incredibly polite, which adds to the positive experience. Mean Miner's Tacos consistently delivers excellence.
