I waited three weeks to finally write this, so I had time to reflect on just how truly an awful restaurant this is. I know that there are die-hard fans of this establishment, especially when it comes to their Duke Burger, but you couldn 't pay me to eat here ever again!My wife and I came here for lunch, and we both ordered burgers. I had a works burger, and my wife had a cheeseburger. To start this horror show of a lunch, both burgers were served ****** RAW, not rare but burnt to a crisp on the outside and RAW on the inside. The bottom bun had soaked up so much BLOOD that it was useless as a bun. The fries were an absolute greasy mess. You can tell that they were tossed directly into our baskets without drip drying or letting the grease settle.Then what made this even worse was that the cook actually came out of the kitchen and into the dining area, and that 's when I really felt sick to my stomach. This guy, by no means, has the appearance of having ANY SENSE of HYGIENE! I damn near lost it when I saw what was cooking the food.My advice is to eat here at YOUR OWN RISK!Better yet, just drive on by.
Showed up with my family.. ordered 2 bacon dukes and these customers that more likely regulars making my biracial children felt uncomfortable like they never seen African American families before.. luckily our waitresss was very nice and welcoming!! I have no issues except people looking at my family making us feel unwanted like it's a racial concern.. duke is no lie.. it fills up 5 adults and 8 children and still had 1/2 of a Duke left over.
No coffee.... who doesn't serve coffee.Waitresses were nice but if you like burgers that taste high in dopamine then eat here. If you don't know what dopamine is you get it when cattle are stressed or excited when they are butchered. Makes a sour taste and smell when cooked or consumed. Not sure where they get there meat but they should get a new supplier. Four of us ate dinner for under $60. I had the special, a mushroom Swiss burger...I guess I expected juicy/saucy mushrooms, so it seemed a little bit dry to me. Onion rings were good. Lots of burger choices. The fries/tots/rings sides served with our entree baskets were enough for 2+people!
