Contribuisci feedbackNice hotel Got our starters very tasty but the main meal was a disgrace had to send back to kitchen i went for the basic haddock and chips both the fish and chips were brick hard back heat im really diapointed that a chef would allow this out his kitchen .got meal replaced but the meal wasnt the same after that... Staff very helpful.
After reading some previous reviews, I was a bit hesitant, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this restaurant. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but the food was truly outstanding and a great value. The room was nice, though there were some issues with water pressure in the shower and sink. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Despite some minor issues, I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
I made a reservation at this hotel on Booking.com for October 12th for 3 rooms to attend a family wedding nearby. I had contacted the hotel on May 12th to inquire about the possibility of early check-in for one of the rooms so we could get changed. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were informed that we would have to pay £10 per hour per room for early check-in until 3pm. Since our wedding started at 1pm and we arrived at 12pm, we ended up paying £30 for one room to change. I was very frustrated that I was not informed about this extra charge beforehand, as I had not received any communication from the hotel regarding it. Other guests who were also attending the same wedding were not informed about the charge either. This lack of transparency is unacceptable; guests should be notified of any charges before checking in at the hotel. I will not be booking at this hotel again.
Our unexpected visit to this restaurant was due to unforeseen circumstances, but the staff, Becca and Andrew, were amazing. They were caring and went above and beyond to make our experience great. Becca was attentive to our needs and friendly. We highly recommend this place and cannot thank Becca and Andrew enough. There should be more people like them in the world!
Avoid if you can !! Booked a room here over a year ago for a nearby wedding called and confirmed room a few weeks ago was told yes booking confirmed My husband came to hotel was told no room booked, we then both had to leave wedding to come to hotel again sorry no room .. Told receptionist the room was confirmed a few weeks ago and was very strange she could not find booking as I had recently spoke to someone she said they had migrated to a new system and booking may have got lost !!! Eventually said a room will be available later could not allow us in room as a night shift worker was using room. She said leave luggage and it would be put in room. Returned to hotel after midnight case still lying at reception was given room key. Entered room it was filthy, skirting dirty doors dirty flies in light shade went to bed pillows smelled of musty sweat could not sleep went to reception to complain was given another 2 pillows and a bottle of febreze !!! Told no other rooms available. In fairness to the boy who was on reception said he normally works in bar and don’t think this was the only complaint he had to deal with. Told him room completely unacceptable he did agree and waived charge This ruined our experience of a fantastic day Cooked breakfast cold Not a pleasant experience and will certainly never return!!
