First impression..grubby and unattractive..meal disappointing and overpriced! Whose running this business? Felt like i could do a better job running it. People want value for money, and fresh food..lift your game guys!

Used to fill the park with people sharing their $4 chips, a family portion, fresh oil daily. Owner after owner passed on this secret to success for decades. Then the current owners decided to charge $5 for a tiny package of soggy chips, ignoring all that had been learnt about how to run this business.... Start up nextdoor and you'll take all of their customers.

Ordered a mushroom burger for my vegetarian mother and a beef burger came out. When i took it back in to tell them they had made a mistake a very rude and defensive girl said the mushroom burger was a beef burger with mushroom sauce on it. No specifications on the menu it was simply advertised as a mushroom burger. Very deceiving I think. She didn 't even offer to fix it we had to ask for a refund. To top it off when we received our fish and chips they were served with no fresh lemon or tartar sauce. Went inside to ask for both and they had neither. Potato cakes were very undercooked. All in all we were made to feel like we were 'those ' painful customers when infact the service and quality was extremely poor. Sorry shawsy but huge letdown guys and you will be the last place we consider next time going to ballina.

Stood in the shop for almost 10 minutes... no service and half the menu was scrubbed off. Left and headed to Bondies at the Bay. Much better.

The biggest rip off since currency commenced! $10 for 2 scoops of chips! Want that extra egg on Ballina 's worst burgers? That 'll be $1.90 one day and $2.50. Heard the old bat in there take aim at a tourist for asking for mayo, she handed him.the burger and said enjoy your mayo in the bitchiest tone yet. The owner seems so caught up with theft, rather than cleaning, anti theft signs are everywhere. WHAT is the difference if I come and shop lift, compared to you robbing us of our hard earned cash! Time to shut shop, you 're immoral.
