Great sandwiches and perfect chunky chips. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.
Hair on food and wrecked t shirt after aged food was placed with the balsamic dressing at tables edge hence wrecked t shirt. 3 staff informed but no concern. Very Dissapointed. Never had a problem before
Popped in on a chilli day for a coffee and a cake. Attentive service, but I was underwhelmed by the standard of both the flat white( watery and lacking taste) and the slice of gluten-free ginger cake. I use the nursery fairly often, but I won't be tempted to use the cafe again. Average.
My partner and I arrived at the nursery having already visited several locations on our shopping trip, we were both ready for a coffee and something to eat. As we entered the premises there was a notice saying 'please wait to be seated ' which of course we did. It was by now around 2.30 pm the premises were very quiet no one else was waiting to be seated there were lots of empty tables and a member of staff seated at one of the tables eating her lunch. We noticed 4 other staff members one was walking between the rooms the other 3 were talking behind the counter. Now in no way do I mind waiting for a few moments in this situation but this became unbelievable we were just being ignored! It felt like we were an unwelcome intrusion. Personally I felt very uncomfortable embarassing even the staff member eating her lunch dare not look up at us! My partner asked if we could take a seat and was greater with a long silence and then asked what will you be wanting, the restaurant operate tsble service not self service do we left trying to decide what we wanted without a menu! I decided we would leave we we went to the other garden centre in the village and it couldn 't have been more different self service absolutely fine, a warm greeting from property trained staff, pleasant surroundings, we wnt be returning to Simpsons other than for our plants!
