Erik's Rheingold - East Geelong

I came here with a group of 20 friends to celebrate a going away party. The staff were so friendly from the moment we got there. It was $40 for an all you can eat buffet, which included a whole pig roasted on a spit, Veges and a range of salads. Then for an extra $40 you can get as many drinks as you like (beer, cider, wine, champagne and soft drink). By the end of the night everyone was up dancing and singing along with the music. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Enjoy a great atmosphere at a historic venue with fun German music and food. $40 gives you entree, main, and dessert. Though there are few options to choose from, the food does not disappoint. Entree was served as several generous soups to share. The restaurant made a spectacle of the beautiful whole spit-roasted pig for dinner. It was ceremoniously lifted and paraded around the whole restaurant before being sat down next to roast chicken, roast beef and a buffet of other dishes. This restaurant is not glamorous, however, it is far from average and should be experienced when one visits Geelong.

Venue is very rundown and cramped being underground. $40 for a mediocre roast is terribly overpriced. We also forked out another $40 for "unlimited" drinks only to get cut off fairly early in the night. Not to mention how rude the staff were. Won't be going back in a hurry.

No option but the $40 menu all you can eat?? Firstly 3 big bowls of soup served onto the table to choose from all quite tasty then... Stand in a long sweaty prison line of fairly drunk people who took the $40 all you drink option- only to be served up the pig off the spit obviously & offered some crappy salads with some soggy potato. Dessert was a last minute delivery of freezer isle strudel & carton custard, in all a definite fail of a dining experience 3/10 __avoid if you can

Very dated venue. Food $40 all you can eat- not my favorite. Don't bother unless you plan/like to get drunk!
