Bengal Express Indian Takeaway

Credit where credit is due I have in the past given poor reviews but we decided to give this takeaway another chance after a break of more than a year. Wow, we weren’t disappointed have had amazing meals again and much better customer service. We will continue to use this takeaway from now on unless it starts to disappoint again. Really hope this doesn’t happen.

The food from this restaurant was delayed by over 30 minutes because the driver could not find our house, even though it is easily located on Google Maps. Additionally, when the food finally arrived, the two naan breads we ordered were missing. After calling the restaurant to inquire about the missing items, we were told that they would be delivered in 20 minutes and we would receive a refund for them. However, when the naan breads did arrive, there was no refund given. We ultimately ended up eating our food, which was mediocre and only lukewarm. When we reached out to Just Eat, the delivery platform we ordered through, they informed us that the restaurant had refused to provide a refund. Despite Just Eat ultimately refunding us, we were disappointed by the average quality of the food and the shockingly poor customer service. We will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. After not going for a while, I was completely disappointed with both the meal and the customer service when I called to express my dissatisfaction. I couldn't even get a word in! I will be going back to my usual, reliable takeaway/restaurant closer to me next week.

We decided to treat ourselves and have a takeaway. We hadn’t had a curry in ages so we heard of good food from here so we went in and ordered. Lovely lady took our order and was so nice to our daughter so thank you. We ordered tikka masala which was sooo tasty . A chicken korma which was also epic . A special Garlic chili cheese naan bread which by the way you should all order as it was heaven . Popadoms with mint sauce and pilau rice and chips. Omg it was so good and tbh I think I’ll order from here more often. Thanks for the onion bhajee’s aswell when you spend over a certain amount

Great Indian food, large portions, easy to order and get delivered locally, friendly staff. Love their chicken tikka balti dish.
