Man's Chinese Takeaway - East Hampshire

The quality of the food is always very good. Service is not the most friendly though, always seems somewhat chaotic when you go in to order and the staff are a bit abrupt. Portion sizes are small compared to others in town.

We have used this place 3 times in the past few months. We have collected each time and the food has always been nice and hot by the time we get it home. Staff on the front desk could may be a little happier and polite. Food has been of a good quality each time, only negative feedback would be their portions can be smaller than elsewhere but for the same price.

I really hope this was just a bad night at work, both the prawn and chicken dishes were so overcooked. Only saving grace was the ribs, and the friendly staff. Portions surprising small too.

Unspectacular food food but despite trying to support them during Covid they don’t deliver on promises time for food even with 30 minutes notice. The young lad during front of house is very arrogant. It is shame when you try to support a local business that they treat you so poorly. Avoid.

I 've been using this Chinese takeaway for several years, but I haven 't been a frequent eater here as I usually go for Indian, Turkish or Italian cuisine if I 'm having a take out. That said, Lockdowns 1, 2 and 3 have meant I 've now exhausted most of the few decent take out options we have in Alton and I 've become rather bored of having the same favourites over and over. I 've used Man 's twice in as many weeks now and I thought it was high time I wrote them a review. The service is always friendly, but it 's the Chef 's own 'Soul Taste ' and 'Taste More ' menus here that set it apart from all the other run of the mill Chinese takeaways in town. In case you 're confused, whilst also on the main menu, 'Soul Taste ' items appear on a separate menu, whilst the 'Taste More ' items feature below the Soul Taste section on the main menu. If you fancy some Asian fusion food, tasty and home made, then check it out I can highly recommend and my mouth is watering just thinking of it!
