Tried the new lunch special menu. Excellent value, super tasty and plentiful all for £6.95. I had the chilli which was lovely and my partner had the ham,egg and chips. The chips were super nice. The pub was clean and well presented and staff very welcoming. Will definitely be returning.

Impromptu lunch in a lovely clean and well presented pub, polite and efficient staff. I had fish and chips, partner had the Cumberland sausages with truffle mash. Both were ample portions and tasty.

Ate here twice recently and the Roast dinners are excellent. Under new management and they know their profession. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend will definitely be returning. Competitive pricing also. See you soon guys, Richard Angie

On arrival we were warmly greeted by the barman who helped us with the table and gave us 2 menus. Looking at the menu we found it very limited although we selected chicken ceasar salad and the cod and chips. When the food came out it was nicely presented. But that really was where the positive points ended. My wife who loves chicken and salad couldn't eat much of her food because it was very very salted. My fish had a odd taste and it was more batter than fish. Once I cut the batter there wasn't much fish. The chips eere nice but the rest not very nice at all. We made the barman aware of the problems he just said he will let the chef know. He took our plates away which were almost as full as when he delivered the food.

Dropped in with my wife for a coffee. After 2 attempts to get the correct coffee it was cold and tasted odd. I'm not sure whether the bar tender knew how to use the machine. Maybe training required. Disappointed as had a nice coffee there once before.
