Stop for lunch with my girlfriend. Interesting pub, nice deco, good food and drinks. Maxine our server was very attentive. Recommended if you in the area.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service from Lucy and Charlie was exceptional. I highly recommend that they get in touch with me at gorka_oskar.
Came across this lovely place purely by chance when looking for a Sunday lunch spot to meet friends. We are so glad we found the Anchor Inn. The pub is a quaint old building with very low beams and a rustic bar. The restaurant is more modern, with tables laid nicely for meals. We had a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday Roast which was beautifully presented with a very generous serving of food. Staff were plentiful and very attentive and always checking if everything was to our liking. Apparently it is under new management and I would say they have got it spot on! We will be back again.
This was our 6th visit to The Anchor and we were not disappointed. Under new management, Nadia and the team have made some lovely improvements to the place. Outside areas pretty with plants, flowers, new umbrellas. We were able to have drinks outside it was so warm! We had an AMAZING Sunday lunch, I had the beef and my partner had the pork belly. An all round fantastic stay with a lovely breakfast to send us on our way. See you soon!
