The King's Mead - East Hertfordshire

The food here is amazing we have been before for a roast dinner which was great and then this time we went for a pre-halloween outing dinner. The food was delicious and we were in a rush but everything was so efficient and quick for us. Plenty of dairy free options. All the girls are lovely but we were served by Emily B who is a delight and a credit to the Kings Mead. She was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. 10/10 service and food to match, what more could you ask for.

Without doubt the best roast dinner I’ve had outside my house. Can’t fault it, was truly amazing… Not sure what else to say, had the lamb shank, mouth watering and I’m looking fwd to returning. Service was impeccable too

It was our first time here and to be honest, I wasn't really too bothered about going, but my husband was on the golf course so I thought we'd pass the time and treat myself and the kids to lunch. What a pleasant surprise the staff were really lovely and super friendly and the food was SO good! I am one of those annoying customers that have allergies and food intolerances, however the staff we really attentive and took the time to go through the options on the menu with me. The staff were also really patient and lovely with the kids! The food was really delicious, which was a real surprise for a chain pub. It has a really lovely, chilled vibe about the place very clean and inviting! I will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend this place for families (and for people with allergens)! Thank you to all the staff you really made us feel welcome!
