Only problem was their opening hours were not consistent and we went a couple of times to find the pub closed. Very difficult for them in these trying times and I really hope they make a success. Will be back soon. All the best.
Super friendly staff. Super accommodating to the GF member of our party, made off the menu halloumi fries for them.
My partner and I visited this pub two nights in a row during our stay at a nearby B&B called The Grange. The landlady, Kath, was incredibly welcoming and all the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, the drinks were served ice cold, and the hospitality and kindness shown to us went above and beyond. We highly recommend this place and are grateful for making us feel so welcome despite not being locals. Thank you!
After a fraught car ride we chanced upon The Cross Roads Inn. The staff were welcoming, patient (we had a 15 month year old with us) and friendly. The menu was varied and standard British pub grub. However it was well presented and very enjoyable. Everywhere was clean and there was an outside are to dine if required. Lots of car parking as well.......a great place to eat and drink.
The new management and chef at this pub are working hard to make it a success, and it's great to see and support their efforts. The fact that they are open all week and weekend is a rarity these days. The food and beer are both very good, making it definitely worth a visit.
