Checkers Nahoon - East London

Very nice store, however parking appears to be a problem. There should be clear signage in this regard or a car guard should be employed. There was two cars ahead doing nothing at the entrance to the shopping complex. I was not sure what was happening with them as there was no indication from them while there was cars build up towards the road behind. So I decided to go ahead of these cars and look for parking ahead. So the man in the Audi who was in front of at me at the entrance took exception and parked next to me saying its his parking. So I got out my car and asked him to roll down his window to find out what the problem was. He indicated that it is his parking as he had been waiting. I said no way, you were at the back doing nothing with no indication that you wanted going to park there and this was causing a bolt neck he then became verbally abusive showing me signs. I parked my car and got my groceries. At the teller point he came to and started verbally abusing me in front of the teller. I don't think she paid much attention. I estimate the man to be 55 years old then starting pointing fingers at me. I asked should I call security to remove you because of your aggressive nature. To which he indicated that I was not a man and he would get me. He then left me alone. My solution to issues like is simply employ a car guard to redirect traffic coming into the complex. He will make enough money from the tips. Thanks

Went in for last minute Xmas shopping, the shop was properly stocked, we got everything we needed and the staff was available to assist. The shop is clean and tidy.

Busy, busy, allways, busy. Good amount of parking. Well run store. I'd return when next in East London. It's not my favourite Checkers in East London though

A favourite grocery store. But difficult to move due to packers, boxes and stacks of stock. Management committed to clean up. Let's see.

Fantastic store with excellent prices and a wide selection of products. There is ample supervised parking for disabled customers. I will certainly shop here again!
