Ocean Basket Beacon Bay - East London

We've been frequent visitors but stopped for awhile as we felt there food and service was beyond poor. Now our last couple of visits have been beyond amazing food is on another level , the sushi was to die for and the service wow I take my hat off to your staff and the massive improvement overall. Ocean Basket Beacom Bay , you guys rock

Love love love. Spacious with a view. Warm and friendly staff. My meal was prepared with love. Really enjoyed a nice relaxing meal.

After receiving our rolls, we waited about 35 minutes with no plates or cutlery. After 45 minutes of waiting for our order, the waitress informed us that the three dozen Queen prawns we ordered were out of stock. We then ordered three Famous Fish and Chips, one grilled and two fried, only to receive all three fried. The fish was charred and overcooked on the bottom. When it came time to pay the bill, we noticed that we had been overcharged for four Famous Fish and Chips when we only ordered three. Additionally, we were charged for a Hunters Dry alcohol that we did not order, and the receipt was printed twice. To document my experience, I took pictures of the receipt, the food, and the table without cutlery or plates. I urge the owners to review the camera footage of our visit. We spent R1700 and it was a completely disappointing experience—a waste of money. I hope the owners will reach out to me regarding this matter. I will not be returning to Beacon Bay Ocean Basket.

I ordered a platter, and the sushi and drinks were enjoyable. However, I wouldn’t recommend visiting on a hot day since the air conditioning was on but not effective. The complimentary bread was quite rubbery, and we also didn't receive any side plates.
