Dirleton is a charming village that is worth a visit for its castle, the village green, and walking paths. The restaurant, located within the Open Arms Hotel, consistently serves delicious food sourced locally. Despite the unchanged menu, the hotel has also adapted to provide a safe environment during the current health crisis. While this may sound sterile, the service remains warm and friendly as always.
I have eaten many paints here in the last 2 years and without failing, that was excellent eating. the menu changes regularly and is always interesting varied and very favorable the staff is very friendly and helpful and deserves in every case a special...mention
Even though we reside in Edinburgh, my wife and I have been frequenting The Open Arms for 30 years. During a recent trip to North Berwick, we decided to stop by for lunch yesterday and it was a fantastic choice. We received a warm welcome, the menu was excellent, the customer service was top-notch, and the food was delicious overall. It was good value for money. To top it off, we were offered coffee in the lounge after our meal - a lovely touch. We will definitely be returning. The hotel is immaculate and well-managed, with clean restrooms. Well done!
We had our dinner in the library that was delicious. we all enjoyed our food very much. of canapés, appetizers, main dishes and dessert was every mouthful tasty there is a great choice to suit everyone.
We eat out a lot when we stay in North Berwick. My cousin especially wanted to try the Open Arms and we were not disappointed. All three of us had different dishes and all were excellent. Beautifully presented, generous portions. My chicken with haggis on...sweet potato mash was possibly the tastiest thing I have ever eaten, and my cousin said the same of his sea bream with samphire. Good reports on the steak pie with black pudding too. We all had the same dessert which was rhubarb and apple pie with ginger Ice cream. Coffee and mints rounded it off, Service was prompt and friendly, can’t wait till our next visit to East Lothian now!
