Contribuisci feedbackVisited as a local in the area, upon our arrival we were greeted with friendly welcoming staff. We were very surprised at the ambiance of the restaurant and bar.Our experience continued to be of a high standard not being rushed to order even though it was a busy saturday night.I ordered the lamb shanks which where amazing well cooked melt in your mouth. My partner ordered the scotch fillet cooked perfectly to her liking.Needless to say we would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a great night out with value for money. We will return again soon for sure.
I went for a family dinner (dinner of 4) booked in for 6:30. We arrived and we couldn't find any staff to seat us. Waited 10 mins to see a staff member walk past who greeted us and seated us. Little did we know, this was the only staff person on in the restaurant seating guests, attending to guests (taking orders, running bar for drinks, running food service from the kitchen, and clean up too). We were seated 15 mins before our drinks and order was taken. It took 20 mins to receive our drinks, 50 minutes for garlic bread as entree to arrive and 1.5 hours for mains. Repeatedly we asked the 1 staff lady how long is our garlic bread, and how long is our main, no reply. She never once came back to communicate what was happening. There were 7 tables in the restaurant, 3 tables of 4 people and the others were couples. We could see she was run off her feet. We later found out, and quite aggressively (on the 3rd time we asked) that there was 1 kitchen person on cooking the food for the night. And she was "run off her feet" which we could clearly see, there was no need to be aggressive and rude towards us. The problem for the night was management as you need more that 1 staff person on to run a restaurant on a Friday night when you are busy. Another piece of advice would be to give customers the courtesy at the time they walk in to say there is a wait on meals tonight, to give them the option of going somewhere else. The night was completely ruined and to be spoken to in a way when we just simply asked how long is our meal, you need more staff on because your staff member was clearly frustrated at being completely by herself and was not coping with the stress and demand of the night. Hospitality is about team work. You actually need to employ enough staff on for a night to work together as a team to ensure smooth running of a restaurant. My father has been going to Endeavour for 30 + years. From the experience we had on Friday night, he will not be back and neither will his family, or our friends or anyone else that we speak to. I've spoken a lot about the service, a quick note on the food, when someone asks for medium rare on a steak that's what they expect. Not well done steak with over cooked veges where there fall to pieces on your fork and mashed potatoes that tastes like a blend of 2 day old mash with blended with instant mash potatoe. I will never be back and I will never Recommend anyone to go to you in the future. Extremely disappointing.
We arrived at the restaurant at 6.10pm and we had to wait around 10 minutes for our order to be taken, by 7.30pm we finally received our garlic bread, and another 20 minutes for our drinks and by 8.15pm we finally received our main meal. Should not have had to wait so long for our meal, especially when there were not a lot of people seated in the restaurant. We did ask 4 times how much longer for our meal, and the waitress said she will come back to us with a time which she never did.
A lovely restaurant good atmosphere . Great food. Very well presented. Lovely friend.y staff. A great place to enjoy a wonderful dinner with family or friends.
We noticed on their website, and it's still there right at this minute!! Country Fare, 2 courses for $32 or 3 courses were $39.Valid Monday to Saturday, that was OK, as it was a Thursday night!!I telephoned a lady named (Shane) to make a booking, seeing the only thing not part of the (Country Fare) 2 courses for $32 or 3 courses for $39 was the Seafood section of the menu, so that was fine, none of us were having Seafood anyway. I asked if Shane could tell me the deserts on offer- she read these to me over the telephone The deserts were - Creme Brulee, Cheesecake and Sticky Date Pudding. Upon arrival, we given the "Specials" menu, this was for the (Country Fare)2 for $32 or the 3 courses for $39. NO garlic Prawns, No Chicken or Steak Oscar, No 300 Gram Rib Eye or Viking beef Cutlet and none of the Deserts that had been mentioned.I had printed the Menu off and we had all decided what we would be ordering, prior to arrival- NOT expecting the Menu to have changed within a few hours. The thing that really annoyed me, was that the older lady - said, No, that can't be right, our Menu's change regularly and that price can't be right. I did ask that she check the website, as I have done as I write this, and it's still there along with their new Menu. Don't get caught like we did!! We did not stay there, we went to another local restaurant. .
