China Buffet - East Meadow

The NEW China Buffet is amazing!! You have updated the decor with authentic Chinese art, the bathroom reworked (which is definitely an essential part of the culinary experience) and the buffet menu updated. In addition, they have added an incredible sushi bar for those of us looking for extra variety! I have been supporting this institution for years and I must say that the new property has new and fresh ideas that make the experience good to return! The service is friendly and welcoming and the owner makes his presence feel what is a special personal touch! If you had a bad experience in the past, don't give it up yet!! It is a new place, new atmosphere and new experience!!! Can't wait for the GRAND RE-OPENING!!!!

Not many food choices, but what was there was fresh and tasted good even if we went an hour before closing. Get us food to take home for free because it was late. Ordering sushi was delicious. For a small place and how cheap it was, it is worth trying.

This is EXCELLENT! I've been coming here for two years and I'm always impressed by the quality of food for the dollar you pay. Listen, if you're hungry and you want to eat and save some bucks in seriousness. Most you can eat costs around $30, we try HALF the price and still good food! This was called one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants throughout the nation, and I swear by this place. This is just for comparison Add from a person who extremely recommends eating TRUE GEMS like Gastroteca in Astoria Queens, Keste/Don Antonio in NYC, Houstons/Hillstones, Sarabeth's Cafe, MP Taverna in most locations, and MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY more of similar. We can all say that my taste in food can sometimes come with a price tag (not always, I know loads of cheap and extremely tasty spots .... The comparison of all these restaurants is like a burger from Houstons/Hillstones with one of a highly valued diner, the quality of food can sometimes be just as good or perhaps even better, except in this case it is a buffet and should present good food at a value. All bad reviews could have been from over 3 years ago when friends of me even mentioned that they did not like the place (over 3 years ago repeating that the same friends had gone with me a few months ago and were surprised how good the food had been! Maybe various owners, maybe cooked different chefs or quality of food, which knows what the reason was then.. All I can say is that it is worth looking for to save some money, but want to eat well I suggest this place very much. Also you will notice that most of the time the place is usually quiet. Most people take off for lunch and dinner. Typically you will find 3 to 5 tables of people eating.... they are wise because they have actually used the whole point of this buffet! Go here and try. The owner is friendly, the buffet is good, and I forgot to mention that the sushi and hibachi are actually also very good!!! The only thing I will mention, which is neutral and not negative at all, is the desserts. I love Dessert, I love her desserts here (you get what you pay in selection, not quality. Quality is good. This place is for lunch and dinner, not for a chic selection of desserts, so please do not come here expected. They have simple caramel, strawberry or chocolate cake places, sugar beans, biscuits, self-spending ice cream, fruits (firsiche, lychee, grapes, etc. and a chocolate fondue well with small extras such as marshmallows on spits for easy diving. Everything is really great for what you pay, I wasn't disappointed. I expect this restaurant to be very consistent forward, pricing and food quality wise; otherwise I will be very disappointed. Like now... because I'm UNGRY!!

I was suspicious of the many positive reviews, but my daughter and I were very hungry and decided to try. I have to say, if you don't like this restaurant, you just don't like Chinese food. The service was fast with refills. The quality of the buffet is excellent. I would recommend a visit!

New owner ship new everything!! The food is really good. great taste and for a great price! Different sushi selections during lunch and dinner. also cant forget that they have a chocolate fountain...very yummy indeed.:
