In my opinion, it;s the cleanest in the valley and the service is always Great. Haylee did a great job today, she was very polite and on top of our order. The next time you’re in Mesa make sure to stop by On the Border and ask for Haylee, you won’t be disappointed.
The food was great. Service was a little slow. Would go back again
Mexican restaurants that actually make their own tortillas always get high marks from me and this place does. I had those tortillas wrapped around the Dos XX fish tacos served with rice and beans and it was really, really good. Fish was battered nicely and was crispy and flavorful. My adult supervisor (aka my wife) had a shrimp bowl with absolutely perfectly prepared shrimp along with rice, cilantro rice, and black beans. I also had a house margarita which was quite tasty but didn't have a big kick. A good experience with good food and service in a clean, friendly place. With homemade tortillas. What's not to like?
Long wait time just to get a table. Then longer wait time to get drinks and order food. Staff was great not enough workers maybe 2 wait Staff and 1 bar tender
Good food. Over the years we have dined here many times. Good food and the service is friendly
