Contribuisci feedbackWe visited NENI before going to the Elbphilharmonie without a reservation and were fortunate enough to get a table, but I would recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. The restaurant is cozy and charming, situated in a central location with a great ambiance. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering advice on the menu. We shared the mezze trio and the king oyster shawarma, and if we were hungrier and had more time, we would have also ordered a hummus platter. For dessert, we enjoyed the muscovado ice cream with tahini and caramelized pecans, which was absolutely delicious. NENI is a great spot for both lunch and dinner.
Delicious eating very nice staff unfortunately not vegan
The food and location were fantastic, as was the atmosphere of the restaurant. We tried the Mezze Trio and Sesame ice cream.
NENI is a chain of Israeli restaurants located throughout Europe, with one in Hamburg's HafenCity. The restaurant is busy, so making a reservation through their website is recommended. Vegan dishes are clearly marked on the menu with "vn." We began with a complimentary plate of non-vegan sabih, but then enjoyed a variety of mezze including cauliflower, falafel, and yellow hummus. We ended our meal with a delicious vegan sesame dessert recommended by the staff. The service was friendly and attentive, although there was a mix-up with our starter which was non-vegan even though we had ordered vegan dishes. Clearer communication would be beneficial in this regard.
I love the hummus dishes and the fladen bread. The vegan dessert was exceptional, but also very powerful.
