Contribuisci feedbackMy wife and I visited to have coffee and bacon rolls. The food (when we finally got it) was OK. The service, however, was dreadful. The woman at the counter couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge our presence she just ignored us! Never again!
Very very slow service. There seems to be no management. Food arrived cold. Will not return even for a drink as these took 15 minutes
Rushden Lakes is a great location and the setting is perfect. We have been coming here since J Blue opened, but our satisfaction has been decreasing. The service is disorganized, leading to long waits and food arriving late, sometimes cold or even after we have finished our drinks. The cakes are dry, stale, and unpleasant. Although the menu describes the food nicely, the flavors fail to live up to expectations. The staff are friendly and professional most of the time, but the system they work under does not benefit the customers or the staff. The prices are too high for the quality of food offered. With such a large customer base at this shopping destination, Jamaica Blue needs to improve. The management should reassess what they are offering, fix the failing systems, improve the quality and pricing of the main meals, and offer better cakes. There is a caravan outlet on the other side of the car park with better coffee and cakes, perfect for warmer days, although there is no indoor seating. We have decided to eat there in the future instead of tolerating J Blue's lack of substance.
Service and attitude of manager absolutely terrible. An hours wait for food, and even then items were missing. Understand that things go wrong but it's how you deal with it with customers that counts. No acknowledgement, no apology, no offer of a free coffee to smooth out the wait. 2ndctime on last 6 months we've tried it and it's not been great. Such a shame because it used to be a regular weekend visit fir us.
We just now had brunch at Jamaica Blue in Rusden Lakes. Actually we were initially going to the place opposite until we saw cashless only. So took a look at the menu and asked if Jamaica blue took cash which they did. We both opted for the booked brunch breakfast. There were a couple of things we asked if we could swap and the waitress said no problem at all, which is quite rare nowadays. She was lovely to chat too. We sat down outside and soaked up the sun for about less than 10 minutes and breakfast arrived. Can honestly say it's one of the best we've had. The roasted vine Tom's were like a flavour explosion. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked. And this was more by accident as the place across the way said card only. Well...everything happens for a reason. Thanks to the lovely waitresses, and whoever the chef or chefs are today..many thanks and great job.
