The Soul Food Factory - East Orange

I recently enjoyed lunch at this restaurant with my 5-year-old child. The catfish dish was fantastic, and the macaroni and cheese with soul cauliflower sides were also delicious. The restaurant has a spacious interior and plays a great soundtrack of classic soul and R&B music, which alone deserves five stars. The service was friendly, although the food did take a bit of time to be served. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you're in East Orange, and it's worth making a trip even if you're in the surrounding areas.

From Peach Cobbler to Banana Pudding, Coconut Cake to Chocolate Cake, you'll leave feeling satisfied and content.

First time going and it was amazing! The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. The wait is a bit long, but definitely worth it.

My husband and I are very new to the area and decided to try The Soul Food Factory and oh my lord we are so glad that we did! That food was ohhhhhhh so good! The first thing I tried was the Mac n cheese because we all know that everyone can’t make Mac n cheese correctly lol. They are 100% APPROVED! from the Mac to the yams to the corn bread and those fall off the bone turkey wings …whewww yes we sure shall be going back!
