Tequila's Mexican Grill - East Peoria

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. I was taken aback by the number of negative reviews, as I found the food to be absolutely delicious. We visited when it wasn't too crowded, and the service was excellent. We ordered enchiladas and fajitas, both of which were really flavorful. They did forget our queso with chips, but they didn't charge us for it, so it wasn't a big deal. The margaritas were a great addition too. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

I've had a few disappointing meals at this restaurant in the past, but I assumed it was due to their busyness. I decided to give it another chance since a group of friends wanted to meet for dinner, and everyone was familiar with the location. However, as I walked in, I noticed a moldy, crusty container from which they were serving salsa, and I chose not to have any. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla, but it was terrible. The cheese had a rubbery texture, so I just picked out the shrimp and ate that. Unfortunately, shortly after, I ended up vomiting it in the restroom. I'm currently dealing with food poisoning and am at urgent care. Thanks a lot, Tequilas.

Used to come here all the time and I have no clue what happen to service but this is crazy anymore. Don't come unless you have lots of time

Probably been to this place 15 times maybe. it's become old and tired. you have to really watch your bill because many of the guys working here don't understand English and how things work and overcharge you. The food is average at best. It's just a restaurant that used to be good now is just going through the motions probably won't be in businesses very long. Unless they completely revamp their menu, and become more customer friendly.

We've been coming to this place over the past year and witnessed one of the greatest declines in a restaurant's quality in our memory. It started out as a 3 star place that was not fancy but decent. Suddenly the staff started dwindling, waits for tables and food went through the roof, the ingredients weren't fresh, we were getting terrible stomach issues afterward, etc. Something is off 100% and my family and I won't be going back again.
