Glad we found this little gem ,, food was lovely ,we had a Sunday roast, everything was fresh cooked ,the waitress was friendly

Friendly welcoming (non local stopping over nearby for a night). The food was really top drawer well priced, dog friendly and an open fire! You can't ask for more.

Fantastic pub great food great atmosphere perfect family run pub

We had a delicious Sunday lunch with generous portions. The prices were reasonable at 8.50 for one course, 11.00 for two courses, and 14.50 for three courses. Although there was a small selection, the dishes were beautifully prepared and tasted wonderful. We opted for the prawn cocktail and roast beef for our two courses, which were both excellent.

This place is AMAZING! The only thing better than the wonderfully friendly staff was the 5* top quality food. It's a shame it's out in the sticks but I guarantee its worth the trip. We had the steak in ale pie and gammon followed by various desserts and every mouthful was delicious. Even down to the quaint little touches like fresh flowers on the tables visiting this establishment was a joy.
