Priya's passion shone through as she told us about the origins, ingredients cooking methods for the different dishes. The supper club was held at her Victorian house, which was a beautiful setting the evening started with a gorgeous cosmopolitan cocktail. My favourite dish was the chicken biryani, which far surpassed any version I've ever tasted, and the vegetable dishes (a potato dish, with fennel and ginger, okra, salad and spinach raita) were delicious too. We really enjoyed the evening and would definitely recommend the supper club.
My partner and I have just enjoyed our third visit to Priya's supper club and we will be sure to return again soon. Each time there is a theme this time it was a Christmas feast with and Indian twist. A superb, imaginative menu, lovingly prepared and served by Priya and her two helpers. Guests arrive to a welcoming cocktail, then sit down together so the evening is very sociable. We enjoyed two starters followed by roast lamb which had been marinaded three times then gently cooked until it was falling off the bone and melting in the mouth. We just had room for two traditional deserts and a cup of masala chai, whilst chatting with Priya to round off the evening. Eating as a guest in her home with the supper club is an experience not to be missed.
We had a private lunch catered by Deccan Tiffin, and it was absolutely delicious. Priya really listened to what we wanted and met all dietary needs, our group included meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. She explains what every dish is and where it originates from and any questions we had she would answer. Each dish is so unique and presented so beautifully. Our friends and family enjoyed it so much they were already planning on when we can book again before we had even left! Thank you Priya, our thank you lunch for our friends and family was perfect.
Priyas online cooking courses recommend. pretty much a noviz to cook Indian I have learned a lot from priyas calm, step-by-step instruction over zoom. I managed to produce a meal that was very enjoyed by the whole family – even our mostly very picky teenagers gave it within minutes! I can't wait to join the next online class!
I've been wanting to experience the Maharani Supper Club for a long time, and I finally had the chance last month. It did not disappoint! Priya crafted an incredible menu that featured a mix of traditional and modern dishes, many inspired by her family home in Maharashtra. There were options for meat, fish, and vegetarian diets. Priya provided fascinating insights into the background and key ingredients of each dish, which I found really interesting. The other guests were lovely, and I enjoyed the conversations during the pre-dinner cocktails and at the table. I’m definitely planning to rebook and bring friends along next time!
