The "leek potato soup" tasted like dishwater packet soup and had no resemblance to actual leeks or potatoes. The pork chops were tough like leather, the vegetable curry was yellow and unappetizing, and the mixed vegetables were frozen and soggy. The white rice was clumpy and there were no potato options for the main course. Dessert options were apple cake or a bright pink cheesecake, both served without cream, custard, or ice cream, making them very dry. Overall, the food was tasteless and disappointing.
This pub/restaurant is very nice and friendly. They welcomed our little cavapoo with open arms. The food was delicious and the prices were great. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Be sure to make a reservation for the Sunday roast, it is definitely worth it.
We ate in the restaurant every night for the best part of a week. The food was always wholesome, tasty and plentiful starters, main courses and deserts. Service was also reasonable. The dining room is large so not a place to go for a romantic meal.
Excellent value for money, large portions, good service in a relaxed atmosphere. Really nice patio garden area with the garden lit up at night. The only downside is no table service.
The meal at this restaurant was decent and straightforward. The service was fine. The roast was simple, without any extras. I've had better meals elsewhere. The wine was reasonably priced, similar to what you would find at a hotel.
