Read the reviews don't know where they come from found the food and the staff very good, the restaurant was very clean and welcoming and the variety of food was very good for a lunch menu. I would definitely visit again. The reason for 4 stars is simply that you have to pay for parking which is out of their control
I used to frequent this restaurant when it was called Real China. However, it has changed significantly since then, and not for the better. The soup was bland and tasted like colored water, the rice was undercooked, and the special pancake rolls were soggy and filled with greasy, inedible filling. The chocolate fountain was diluted and disappointing. This experience was a disgrace. I would not recommend dining here.
I believe this restaurant has changed ownership. My family and I visited two years ago while we were at Peppa Pig World and had a great experience. However, our recent visit was very disappointing. We paid £13 per adult and felt it was not worth the money. The service was chaotic, with waitresses slipping on the floor while carrying hot plates and kitchen spray being left out next to the utensils. The food was limited and looked like leftovers from a late night party. Some items were replenished, but only sparingly. The duck dish did not taste like duck at all, and the hoisin sauce took 15 minutes to be refilled after I requested it. The chicken nuggets were not restocked promptly, despite being popular among kids. The food was mostly cold, bland, and overcooked. Dessert consisted of soft ice cream and sliced mini Mr. Kipling cakes. There was also a disruptive child and a couple at a nearby table behaving inappropriately. We will not be returning to this restaurant and recommend avoiding it, especially with other better dining options nearby.
My first and last visit to this restaurant was disappointing. You are required to pay before eating and then can sit wherever you like. There was no explanation of how the restaurant operated, so we were left to figure it out on our own. The drinks dispenser looked dirty and in need of a good clean. The food was terrible - most of the trays were empty, and what was there was either cold or burnt. A large party came in after us, and it seemed like the staff were more focused on setting up for them rather than taking care of the existing customers. After several complaints, fresh food finally started coming out of the kitchen, but it was too little too late. The large party quickly devoured what was left. The manager apologized for the kitchen staff shortages and thanked us for our complaints. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs.
