Greys is the casual option for dinning in whatley manor, but do not think burger and chips. the braided bark cheek is excellent and the jersey royals with a seaweed emulsion owe more than a little core, but this is not bad. keeping the wine and water bottles from the table requires a level of participation that the staff unfortunately lacks. we haven't even eaten a hurry or an apology and a broth order never arrived. but everything in a beautiful place with better eating than you could expect. with covid as an excuse to share the table a single menu or play it with their phone to scan a code is the kind or nonsense we will get used to; Why is the grubby dog ear paper to scan ok, but a menu wouldn't be?
I visited the restaurant and had the Sunday dinner special, which was quite generous. The first course was enjoyable, and the roasted artichoke had a delightful crunch to its skin. However, the main course of roast beef was excessively salty, and the seasoning overall was quite heavy. The dessert was satisfactory, and the service was polite and friendly.
The service was excellent, and the dining experience was delightful. Lunch was a vegan delight.
The food was excellent, served in a stylish setting. While the staff might have been a bit overly attentive, the quality of the food made up for it.
