Disgustoso servizio clienti!
First visit to Rice Vermicelli King tonight. My wife and I have walked past countless times and we've avoided visiting due to the fact the restaurant is never packed. It's always been half empty so we assumed the food was average. But having tasted the food tonight, I can't see why this restaurant isn't more popular. Perhaps it's because it's off the main strip. The food is really tasty and the portions are BIG. The beef brisket noodle soup was rich and hearty with a gentle hint of mala sichuan pepper for a warming kick (12.80). The spaghetti style noodles were nice and slippery, good for sucking at high speed when you're hungry. The Chinese style burgers were exploding with flavour (5.80 ea). We ordered two. Inside a crusty, bready flat-bread style bun was either shredded, fatty pork belly or beef with chilli and cumin. Yum. The one downer for me were the boiled dumplings (10.80). I found the fillings a little on the bland side but the skins were the perfect thickness. Overall, good flavours, good value. The interior, though filled with woody Ikea furniture isn't too bad either and far ahead of some of the surrounding restaurants loaded with laminex coated tables and plastic chairs.
