Lalore Cafe - Eatonton

Great café with an excellent atmosphere and high-quality dishes. Expect to pay about $15 per head for lunch. My curry chicken salad was excellent with the right amount of curry flavors. The portion size seemed a little small, but turned out to be enough to fill me. My wife's chicken salad sandwich was also excellently delivered with her homemade french frits in a sweet basket. Service was relaxed and efficient and very friendly. The restaurant also has a fully equipped bar and outdoor weather. Location is in the mall and could be hard to find. Parking is available.

I risked bringing my wife here for my birthday, but they and I were both very happy with our meal. She ordered unsweetened tea and the Chicken Salad Classic, substituting Ciabatta bread for roasted sourdough. I ordered Fiesta Quesadilla Salad and an Arnold Palmer. We shared a few tastes of the meals of the other and would have been just as likely happy swapping orders - though were delicious. To dessert, we had the heated apple, who blacked a la mode... heavenly. We will definitely come back. By the way, they also serve a Jalapeno Margarita (nearly safe).

Today we had another excellent lunch at Lalore Cafe. Had the basil tomato soup with 3 cheese grilled cheese. Wonderful. A piece of cheese cake home for later. I'm a happy camper.

The food is delicious and very fresh. We usually order for Bellissimo Salon. The cook is very talented and the food is always perfectly seasoned. I'm so glad to have La Lore here at Lake Oconee.

Excellent service and excellent food. On a funny note I was accidentally served the wrong sandwich but said what the heck. It was something I would have never ordered but WOW it was amazing! The owner is a great guy and he came and chatted with us. Highly recommend.
