Contribuisci feedbackWhat a beautiful room and fantastic food! We started with the spreads that were thrilled both on the provided Pita and on the bread from the basket. My son enjoyed Calamari who had an interesting red pepper jelly like Dip, my other son enjoyed a large bowl of pasta with sausage and beans, my husband really liked the green pasta, and my eggplant was delicious. Our service was also attentive and knowledgeable. Try it, it's great!
One of the best restaurants I visited in Monmouth County. The outside is very inconvenient, but as soon as you walk away in the aesthetics of this picturesque romantic restaurant. The food was not disappointed. We tried the fried goat cheese with homemade fig jam and it was the most decadent what I had the pleasure of eating. We also have the Mediterranean nachos and the person who decided to come with this combination of flavors deserves an award. The appetizers were also very generous when we got our entrees that we were filled. What impressed me is the Kabob plate that the table ordered next to us, because you did not do anything beautiful by Kabobs, but the presentation of the Kabobs has blown us away. The dessert was unbelievable, they transformed normal baklava and you could taste the spices and combine with the candied orange peeling it increased to a new level. Also the chocolate goose pecan tart was heavenly. I don't like coffee, but the Greek coffee was so perfect that it was excellent. It is also impressive that this is the kind of place that you can go for a nice cheap lunch or dinner of something simple like a well-made gyro or lamb burger or you can lure on some of the pricier that are worth the money. Really a place that most people can enjoy with different budgets. The fact that this place is Byob on the very fabulous cake, that is this hidden jewel of a restaurant. Will go back to try again desserts with something bourbon, because it would be very nice couple.
Brian our server was one of the best waiters in any restaurant we ate this year! With great energy he went out the way to explain every dish we liked. Gain suggestions, preparation info as well as Greek and Mediterranean history . There are several ethnic selections, not only Greek food. The schish kabobs were delicious. We tried the pig and the lamb. Very humid. Great season. Our Oktopus appetizer (Brians suggestion) was not at all rubbery. Beautiful aromas and very delicate. The Custard in Phyllo dough with canned orange bark was the favorite! I'm adventurous, so I tried Greek coffee. Interesting! There is a lot more we want to try on this menu. We'll be back.
Excellent Mediterranean food with a modern twist! Attention, and it has a beautiful atmosphere! I had the fried goat cheese croquets with fig jam as an appetizer, and it was super delicious! It is a must order Appetizer when you eat here! For dinner I had the lamb about Quinoa, and it was very good! The lamb was tender and tasteful. I'm not a quinoa fan, and first I was hesitant to order it because it came with it. But the waiter assured me I love it here. It also came with horta, which is a vegetable almost like spinach, and it was fresh and perfectly looked! For desserts I had the baklava and the chocolate galaxy tart with a pecan crust and it cane with a warm caramel sauce. The Baklava was good, but the chocolate canache tart was AMAZING! I lubricated the chocolate gantry cake in the delicious warm caramel sauce before every bite I took! I am really impressed by this restaurant with its creative menu in Mediterranean cuisine. I recommend Olive Ivy in Oakhurst!
Great restaurant with really friendly staff. Their food was very good and their staff was knowledgeable about all their ingredients and explained dishes thoroughly. Definitely worth going back!
