Monk's Grill - Eau Claire

Good food and great service. Asked for gluten free dishes and the staff was really attentive as both the waitress and manager reviewed the dining options as well as preparation of the meal. Really nice to receive such excellent and fast service. Weusually stop at Monks on our way back to the twin cities and never disappointed. Had the Philly and it was very good, alongwith the wraps and burgers. Cheese curds are really good as well.

I absolutely love Monks! The service is always excellent, and everything I've tried from the menu has been delicious. My favorite dish has to be the fish tacos. It's a fantastic spot for families, and it's also perfect for a date night!

This is a decent spot to visit if you enjoy a sports bar atmosphere, especially compared to other places in the area. The décor includes cute stuffed monkeys hanging from ropes from the ceiling. There are large TVs everywhere, so you won't miss any of the games. We tried the chili, monkey fries, and the monster burger, along with a few drinks—it was all just okay. The square bar in the center is a nice feature. We arrived around opening time and found the place busy an hour later. There's plenty of parking available, including handicap spaces close to the front door. They offer booths, high-top tables, and regular tables for seating. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us several times, and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time.

The waitress was fantastic! I ordered the Reuben with fries, and we decided to share our meal. The waitress kindly served it on two separate plates. The toasted bread held together nicely, which is important to me since it's one of my favorite sandwiches—I've had them turn soggy before I finished eating. I'm not sure if my taste buds were just off that day, but I feel the sauce should taste more like Thousand Island dressing. Overall, it was a good experience!

It's a nice place and good food. But I honestly don't think the food is of equal value for the price. So 4 stars for everything else being great. I just can't really agree that a 90 bill (not including tip) for 2 ppl, 2 meals, shared dessert, 3 drinks. Thedrinks weren't typical so I expected higher cost. It just doesn't add up to me. However, if price isn't an issue it's a greatplace to go.
