Definitiw different from a standard café or teestube. books and trinkets for sale. to go a place if you want to avoid the usual cafe chains. menu not extensive, but the coffee was good.
I have made a lunch, what a jewel. Beautiful simple and well prepared meals and salads. homemade bread, all served in an extremely friendly and attentive wise. Thank you!
We stayed here on a walk through the city. as outside a warm day we sat outside. the tee came in a real teekanne and china cup and saucer. hubby had the choco,- salad and lemon cake that was delicious. friendly staff too. the prices were also very good.
I stayed one night above the tea rooms, and the breakfast was kindly included in the very good value rate. Beautiful location foe these tearooms, please take time afterwards or before to explore the church opposite, housing viking hogbacks amongst other surprising gems. The tearoom...is of another time in a good way, I came away with some great books on Arran! Breakfast was filling and set me up for the journey home, if you like escaping and quirkiness this is the place to go, unashamedly unique!
