For our engagement party we reserved a room which obviously costs extra. You would think that if you’re paying more money that it would be good service but that was not the case. Our waiter was going between us and everyone else. He would take about 20 minutes to come back every single time. We’d just sit there with empty drinks. We didn’t even get to order as much as we would have liked because our server never came back so we decided to call it a night. I was so upset over that for months because we paid so much money for that room for an important event and still had a poor experience. Months past and I decided to give it another chance. I reserved a time for my birthday. It was confirmed. The day comes and we drive 30 minutes to see a sign on the door that it is closed for a private event. Seriously? They couldn’t message the people who already had a reservation. Haven’t been back since. If you want to charge that much get better customer service.

We started our meal with a delicious strawberry spinach salad that was fresh and flavorful. We then ordered three dishes to share. The Parmesan chicken on fettuccine with creamy sauce was cooked perfectly and the flavors complemented each other well. The filet mignon, cooked medium rare with grilled shrimp, red wine Demi glaze, and Gouda mashed potatoes, was exceptional. The rack of lamb, cooked medium rare with risotto and caramelized brussel sprouts, was also delicious. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, even offering us a bigger table when one became available. He informed us that the menu would be changing to an Autumn theme the following week. We ended our meal with a delightful berry crème brûlée. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and consistently delivers excellent dishes and service. The limited parking and steep exit may be a slight inconvenience, but it is worth it for the overall dining experience at Sidebar.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere are all fantastic. My wife and I were finally able to come here and we were not let down. The prices were even reasonable. We will definitely be returning for our next date night. And the music was also excellent. That's definitely worth mentioning as well.
