Wholesome Foods, Inc - Edinburg

I've been a loyal customer of the South OX Rd store for many years and used to look forward to my visits. However, I've noticed a decline in service over the past year. The recent so-called upgrades seem to have resulted in fewer products being available, which is quite disappointing. On multiple occasions, I've walked in to find employees chatting and laughing with friends while I've stood at the counter waiting for help with deli meats. This has happened again just in the last few days. I'm confused about how the renovations could lead to fewer items on the shelves. Overall, I'm not sure what's happening, but after my recent experience, I’m uncertain about returning.

I stopped by around noon on Saturday and decided to order 3 pounds of roast beef. While I was there, I noticed a sign for a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Since it was already past noon, I wasn't sure if I could still get one, but the cashier was very accommodating and prepared one for me. Honestly, it was one of the best bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches I've had in ages! I really wish I lived closer; I would definitely visit this place every day. Thank you, Dave Zink!

This restaurant features an excellent variety of high-quality fresh meats at affordable prices. They also offer a selection of frozen fish, French fries, chicken nuggets, and other items. Their deli is notable for its tasty sandwiches and daily specials. If you prefer to dine al fresco, there are a few outdoor tables where you can relax and enjoy your lunch.

Living in SC now I miss the local butchers in the area where I could get some great meats and that good ole’ country ham.While coming back up visiting family I stopped in to Wholesome Foods for the first time just before Christmas and picked up a bunch of quality meats for over the holidays.All of their meats are great including that country ham.The staff are all wonderful and friendly and glad to help ya’.The kind lady that helped me gave me a pack of hamburger to try from my purchase and being my first time there.Needless to say she knew what they had in their hamburger for it could have been the best that I’ve had.When coming back north again I’ll be stopping in to Wholesome Foods again.

We stopped in at the Woodstock location, not realizing they closed very soon. The people there were VERY nice, and SO helpful!!! We ended up getting 2 roast beef and horseradish cheese subs.... lets just say they were AMAZING!! AND they have cloth bologna We definitely will be back!! Thank you for amazing service!!
