I really enjoy La Fav restaurant, as they offer gluten-free pizza and pasta options. However, it is not celiac friendly in terms of preparation. They make an effort to accommodate, but cannot guarantee cross-contamination (even indicated on the menu). It is best to avoid menu items fried in shared fryers. Although I have eaten here many times without issues, I did get glutened once on a particularly busy Saturday night. The staff is wonderful and they differentiate gluten-free orders with a special flag for accuracy.
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I have ordered from them before and it was okay, but one time I was disappointed with the gluten-free pasta I ordered.
Delicious pizza! the cheese they use (veganarella, made with vegetable oil. is simply the best vegan cheese I ever had on a pizza. it melts really well and is really delicious. the tomato sauce basic is delicious, really tasteful teig and good toppings, just a great pizza
We were told this place had the best pizza in Edinburgh. Although very good, not the best I 've ever tried. However, definitely worth giving it a try. For vegans, they offer vegan cheese as a replacement. However in the menu they only have margarita which could be vegan (the rest has parmesan, goat cheese and so on). However, you can add ingredients to your pizza. Prices were a bit high given that it 's just a pizza . Each one of us paid 20£ for a pizza, a dessert and a pint. The staff was always very friendly.
