We had the butternut squash and sunblessed tomato soup (yummy) and a toasted cheese sandwich. We also had a slice of the best, most delicious cake. And the staff were all excellent t really helpful and friendly. I will definitely be going back soon.
Went here today around 2.30pm. Got served by a lady who saw me wait for 10 mins but didn’t even acknowledge my presence. There wasn’t a queue or anything. Even when she served me , the service was cold and dreadful. She cut me the smallest slice of cake despite charging me nearly £5 for a slice. Coffee and taste of the cake was good! I use to love this place but the service , price increases whilst reductions in portions of cakes is a big turn off !
Very trendy surroundings for tasty tea and coffee. Can have in or take away. Good amount of seating.
Really disappointed with my latest visit. I bought 2 slices of cake for take away and the sponge on both of the slices were not fresh. The sponges were both hard and dry. For a cafe that specialises in selling cake I would expect so much more, and I’m sure it used to be better. Both slices had to go in the bin.
Fun laid back vibe. We love the cakes, there are always new and interesting flavours. Great visit in the centre of town near the castle
