New Samuel Chinese Takeaway

My kids and I visited this lovely wee takeaway last week and I ordered a dinner for one person. The lady serving me was so very kind. It was very late at night and my kids were exhausted, and thankfully they had eaten a lot at a friend's place. She also added some extras to my order. The soup and Thai vegetable curry were delicious and spicy and I thoroughly enjoyed this meal. Thank you very much for your hospitality and kindness.

Quick delivery. Reasonably priced. Best hot sour soup I’ve ever had with lots of meat juicy prawns. Chips curry sauce lovely. Duck was succulent tasty though the sauce a wee bit bland. Overall a v good meal.

Delivery was really quick and unfortunately that's about the best thing I can say about our meal. The soup was thick, gelatinous, gloopy and tasteless. The BBQ sauce for the spare ribs had the same texture as the soup. I got the wrong main course and am waiting for it to be redelivered. The tofu in my starter has the consistency/look of stale bread and is so overcooked its impossible to eat. The lemon chicken is maybe a 4/10. If you want cheap, tasteless Chinese food that's delivered quick and is really bad quality, this is the takeaway for you.

I used to regularly order from here however the last few meals have not been great. On one occasion chicken curry totally inedible. Solid, rubbery chicken breast, was binned, I was offered a free main meal off next order but ruined my takeaway that evening put me off Chinese food for a while. Since the pricing went up the food standard has gone down! They used to offer Fried Rice with main meal for extra 50p which put them way above others in pricing we always had a really good meal. I've since been trying other take-aways in the area as it's too hit miss here.
