Pilgrim - Edinburgh, City of

Went for a pub quiz night. It was alright. The atmosphere was kind of cool and the drinks were fine. But we ordered food in the middle of the quiz and then over am hour later someone came over to say that they forgot to put the order through and now their kitchen had closed. Bit disappointing but it happens, and they ended up giving us a round of drinks on the house so all's well that ends well!

Yikes. Popped in here with some friends for a quick drink and a bite. Initial impressions were that the place had a fairly lively atmosphere and was nicely kitted out inside. That's as good as it got. I got the shock of my life when the boy behind the bar rang through £8.25 for a white Russian that was about the size of a matchbox. My pal's espresso martini didn't pass muster either. The price point is lunacy for what you're getting. Also bears mention that the glasses had obviously been cleaned with bleach immediately before serving, not ideal. On top of this, one of our group ordered paid for chicken strips which never came cue a refund. That was enough for us and we moved on. This is one pilgrimage I won't be making again.

I was stood at the bar 3 or 4 minutes. Then a group of young women walked up to the bar and got served after 2 seconds while I was being ignored so no I wasn't very impressed . Then there was a minimum spend of £5 to pay by card.so I had to copper up. Not a very positive experience. There's many better places to get a drink in Edinburgh than this one. The best thing about it? Nobody died.

Great prices and a nice selection of drinks. A lot of excitement, as well as some original cocktails and shots. Great decor and ambience. They also have many big TVs, so it is a good place to watch some football.

Used a voucher for cocktails and nachos. Went just after opening at 4.30 pm. We were alone but the bar was being set up for a themed beach party.The music was 70s so we enjoyed the nostalgia as well as the lovely cocktails .The staff were friendly and attentive.
