The City Kebab House

The person in charge of this restaurant is truly exceptional. I came in looking for food after a night out and they had run out of chips, but the staff added more chips to my order. Absolutely fantastic.

Amazing pizzas. Previous opening times would be great

According to multiple websites and apps, this takeaway was supposedly open until 3 o'clock. However, when we arrived at 2:08, we were told that it actually closes on weeknights at 2 o'clock. We have enjoyed meals from this place in the past and the food was always excellent, but we were very disappointed tonight as we ended up going hungry.

As I mentioned in my review of the fairly good Shorty's, Samson's departure from the Fountainbridge premises that they had occupied for 36 years resulted in the place being split into two. Tonight, I have finished the second part of my review of the new establishments with a visit to City Kebab House, which has entered the late-night takeaway market.

The worst you can get. It's not even a Kebap, it's a piece of bread with cheap shredded meat and salad on the side... it gets topped up with ketchup...
