The Jolly - Edinburgh

My wife and daughters had dined at the Jolly restaurant many times before, but this was my first time accompanying them. The restaurant offers great value with a 3-course meal for only £8.50. The menu includes options like soup or spaghetti carbonara for starters, followed by a choice of burger, chips, and salad or pizza for the main course, with a dessert to finish. Despite being busy during lunchtime, the service was excellent with tables being served promptly in the order that meals were ordered. I wish more restaurants were as efficient as this one.

Mr Jolly runs a popular budget Italian restaurant with a unique charm. The staff is friendly, the food and wine are excellent, but it would be nice if the chef heated the plates. They also offer a lot of complimentary treats like chocolates, candies, and Lemoncello. The restaurant is always busy with a great atmosphere, so much so that customers were lining up down the street at 7 pm on a Saturday. This speaks volumes about its popularity.

We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and fun, and the atmosphere was great. We even finished a large carafe of wine! It was good value for money and we will definitely be returning in the future.

Friendly wee restaurant and obviously popular but that made it a bit noisy. However the food was good and convenient as just on edge of main town and buses etc.

Excellent food....huge portions and incredibly good value. Pasta dishes great and pizza superb. Wine great value too. Staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful
