Sambuca Restaurant - Edinburgh

It was a nice little restaurant with great food. the booking will be taken into account again.

A hidden gem. This is arguably the best Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. The food is wonderful as is the service- better than any of the chains some of which are very good

Absolutely awful!!! Arrived at Sambuca with our opentable.co.uk confirmed booking. However no-one at Sambuca claimed any knowledge of our booking. We were told that the internet booking doesn't work. No apologies, no sorry we have just ruined you evening. We were shown a table at the held open door September in Scotland! more or less on the street or to come back in half an hour when there MIGHT be a table. We left never to return.Can't comment on the food standards,ambience,BUT the staff I assume manager/owner needs some basic customer relations training. Poor restaurant and useless booking system. Never again for both opentable.co.uk or the Sambuca restaurant.

Excellent choice on menu, delicious food and very friendly staff. we enjoyed our visit very much and look forward to a return visit

Beautiful small place with friendly staff served beautiful Italian cuisine. pizzas that we had where we were very good, and we came hot. we have never been before and simply wanted a place next to our hotel, perfect. reasonable price, clean and service very well.
