Great place! many sitting options, cheaper (but tasty) coffee and a good selection of toasties, panninis and bakery tasty. the atmosphere is really laid back many people studying, working or scratching for exams. it seems to be quiet, and with free Wi-Fi and plugs, it is a really good choice to sit down and do some work.

There are multiple of these around Edinburgh. They serve quality coffee and tea along with food. Expect a busy place with a staff that might seem over worked, at least in tourist season. Has a relaxed feel that makes some guests feel right at home, for good or bad. WiFi available

Pop in for a yummy sausage or bacon, or bacon and sausage (if it takes your fancy) breakfast roll. A great wider menu to choose from too: they have everything from bagels to cakes to smoothies. The decor is warm and inviting, with proper handmade wooden furniture. Wallet friendly prices and fantastic service. Check out the mezzanie level for super cozy booths!

Really great cafe. Brilliant coffee, amazing food and nicely decorated with generous amounts of comfy seating. As a bonus they've been playing some of my favourite music each time I've been in.

Filled with tables in cosy corners, this is a great place to work with a quiet, laid-back atmosphere and plenty of plug points. The coffee is good, the staff are friendly and they serve giant rice crispy treats and tasty sandwiches.
