The Inverleith Warriston - Edinburgh

This restaurant is highly recommended. it is a relaxed afterbarity bistro near the botanical gardens and has a separate vegan menu with genuine choice and really good choices. we all had the mushroom, walnut, quinoa and beetroot burger, served with a grilled flatbread. delicious burger and very good chips. two of the four puds in the main menu are vegan. I had a really creamy dark chocolate pot. next time I would return to edinburgh.

I love you. all from the beautiful Instagrammable decoration to the separate vegan menu and the (yes clearly marked vegan options on the menu. my man and I wanted to try out their summer offer and were not disappointed. I had to start the sweet potato salad – I would never have thought to put sweet potato in a summer salad to be honest, but the coriander and avocado made it really fresh and perfect for this time of the year. the man went for the easier hummus and flatbread, but it was brilliantly executed. the brot was lightly fired and the hummus has a rich beet root color with some fried tweezers for some crunch. for our main course, I decided for the carved aubergine, which was served with a hearty “ras el hanout” stew and spelt grains. it was a very generous help, with the ras el hanout especially very rich and comforting. in the meantime the man had one of the exotic looking burgers we have ever seen! the sweet potato and kichererbsenpatty was served on a flat brot with a lot of fresh coriander and a generous help from fritten on the side. with great food and a fantastic mood I can't wait until I go back to herringbone.

A bright and clean interieur with friendly, attentive staff. a separate vegan menu is available on request, but all vegan and vegetarian options are clearly defined in the standard menu. a decent selection available and also very tasty!

We came to a quick lunch today while we were on a cozy cycle and had the sourdough toast with avocado and vegan mozzarella, which was really delicious! the vegan options on the menu are really marked (including those who are vegan) and they can even have a separate vegan menu if they prefer it. really in a good effort to be vegan friendly! the service was also great.
