Zest - Edinburgh

We were given a table where we couldn't all see eachnother due to a large thick pillar. We had to hassle for a waiter to take drink order. We had to hassle for a waiter to take food order. We waited an hour and 15 mins. People who arrived much layer than us got served. When the food came only some of it came. we had to hassle dor the rest of it. Rice portions were tiny. Food was barely adequate in taste.

We visited Zest on Thursday for the 1st time in many years. When we were seated at our prebooked table we noticed that 2 separate groups who arrived after us had their orders taken and in 1 case starters delivered, before the staff came near us!! However, after that they were very attentive, the food was excellent and the wine reasonably priced... we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Great Indian food enjoyed by all in a mixed table. Service very friendly and attentive. Good wine and beer choices. City centre location and handy fir the train station. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back.
