Conscious implies an awareness of yourself and others around you. Aware that families are hurting , businesses are struggling and that you have a desire to do something positive for those in your community. Our family as spent thousands of dollars supporting the idea you espouse but to be honest some of the “deals” you have promoted are disheartening. What family of four can afford $1,000 for a meal? After the pandemic many businesses were lost and job’s never recovered. With that in mind, the concept of joining the community with the farms to make food and self sufficient living a reality is great but it seems as though the “conscious” left the community. When a business receives honest reviews from its customers it should learn from them and find a way to make things more affordable. Our community is full of hard working rural Americans. We can’t afford to pay $10,000 for a cow, a pig or two, veggies etc..and some cooking classes. But I can split the cost of a cow and its processing for $2000. That’s reasonable. We’ve all seen the freezer burn on the meat in the store and that’s probably why it’s still there. I’m not being vicious, I’m writing this in the hopes that whoever is responsible for the overpriced “deals” will wake up and return to the original reason for starting the conscious community. Please take our words to heart and be of service to the community. You berate the community for giving honest feedback and make them feel small for saying things you don’t like. Reminds me of the 5th grade bully. By the way, I have no idea who you “owner” are I’ve never met you so I can’t take things personal with someone I do not know, I’m just a voice for the community. I actually bought into take care of community but this place just fleeces everything they can get from charging ridiculous amounts of money for a picnic that’s for the community to overpriced freezer burnt meat and packaged as a deal not! Selling junk for too much money. Yes I said junk! I have spent lots of money and finally caught a clue. You are better off going to a Whole Foods or directly to farmers. That’s how you help the community. This place is helping themselves not the community. Firewood share give me money now and use the wood later. This is a free country so they are allowed to run whatever they are running but shame on you for seriously not having consciousness of the community.
The COOP is the greatest place for our community. Great prices on grass fed beef, local veggies and fun local crafts and plants. The restaurant is also a great addition to north Edmond! Worth going every time!!!
This is an awesome farmers market . Local farm to table grocer and has a small diner inside as well . They also has local made products to sell (honey , tea, jams jellies, salsa cookies and so much more . They hold an assortment of classes on a variety of things also .
