The New York pizza is not exactly authentic it was a little thicker and fluffier than I’m used to but the flavors were fantastic. Service was excellent. It’s a nondescript little place and nothing fancy inside but you won’t care!!
If you are a lover of deep dish pizzas or looking for a very fulfilling pizza, Humble Pie is a pretty good place to start! They pride themselves in Deep Dish Chicago-style pizzas. It is a very small restaurant and can only seat a handful of people, so be prepared to wait if you are arriving on a Friday or Saturday night! The servers and manager was friendly and prompt with our orders and food delivery. We ordered their meatball appetizer and a Meat Lover's Deep Dish Pizza. The Meatball appetizer was large and soaking in sauce; for a meatball, it was pleasantly seasoned and cooked enough where it is not raw but isn't crumbling underneath your fork. The deep dish pizza took about 40 minutes to make (they make it fresh and oven it), which we didn't mind the wait. While I did enjoy the meat and cheese in the meal, I was not very partial to the pizza essentially covered and soaking in sauce as well. I felt like there could have been more cheese and ingredients to offset how much sauce there was. One of my favorite parts in the dish though was the crispy and thick crust, but that could just be me being a fan of oven baked crust/bread. All in all, it is not a bad place to start if you are interested in tasting deep dish pizza. The prices are a little steep for the meals, but it is not bad for a once in awhile try! -June 2016

I would say that the best way to describe Humble Pie pizza is, inconsistent. I only order the New York style, but I change the toppings up. When it is good, it is as good as pizza can get, but the hipster cook staff can't keep it up. Service is sub-par and borderline unprofessional. Salads are overpriced and lame. I ordered a Caesar salad and it had tomatoes!! That is like a calling a cheeseburger a pizza just because is had bread, meat, and cheese. Just call it a side salad. Don't lie about how fancy you are. Your name is 'Humble Pie'! Please lose the highfalutin emo local pride and focus on the food. . Oh, how I want them to be as good as their potential. All that being said... I am going to order a large cheese again tonight. (Carry out). If you need a sit-down pizza, go to Hideaway.
Raised in Chicago. If your looking for Lou Malnitis. This is not it. HARDLY ANY MEAT, on the sausage pizza. Sauce was decent. Crust was good but it wasn't filling pizza. Sevice was great !
