Always good Always FRESH! Sometimes a little slow to checkout. but great food!

First time visiting, and this will be my last time visiting! The only good items were the greens and the mac n cheese; everything else was inedible. I had the Whiting dinner ? with greens/mac n cheese the fish wash dry and thin like it had been sitting out all day. I had a small rice with gravy and small chitterlings $35. The total for everything was a little over $65 dollars. The chitterlings can cold and when heated up were very greasy with no taste and not fresh! I should have known when he asked if I wanted them heated up. For that price everything should come hot! Overpriced and Not Edible! I don't understand ? the reviews..they're misleading.

The food is delicious and did not disappoint. We were a big big family that came in this Tuesday and basically had the restaurant to ourselves. The ladies who were there that took our order, made the food, and cashed us out at the register were EXTREMELY RUDE! When I was explaining I wanted a side of chicken she was irritated that she had to grab a small box for the chicken. My cousin asked the cashier a question and he got ignored. I'm from North Carolina and many of us were there for a funeral. I've recently learned that this establishment is black-owned, which I love. However, the owner needs to have a customer service training for the front line people who have to deal with customers because those ladies' attitudes were terrible! If their demeanor were good, I would've given an overall 5 star, but I took off a star just for the service. Aside from that, the food was A1 and we will return to get some of that delicious well-seasoned food!!!!

My favorite of all time. I drive 45 min just to get a meal!! Friendly, fast, and delicious. Now that I have a gluten allergy and need gluten free friendly foods I cannot enjoy this place so much. I asked if items were gluten free and they were clueless. I got the stuff salmon and ended up sick the next day.

I usually go to the Brandywine, MD location, and I will continue to go there. Long wait and terrible attitudes, terrible service, along with mediocre to poor food quality. I might as well have went to another restaurant that truly deserved my money. I know everyone have some bad days but apparently this is becoming a repeated issue from this location.
